Villa Di Sayan

Nestled in the quiet landscape of Sayan, Ubud, Villa Di Sayan is a private three-bedroom residence designed for calm, comfortable living. Tabu Design was commissioned to furnish the home with a focus on functional elegance—integrating clean lines and natural textures that reflect the villa’s serene surroundings.

Project Details

Tucked away in the lush greenery of Ubud, the villa sits in a peaceful, secluded pocket of Sayan—an area known for its river valleys, quiet rice fields, and sense of retreat. The design of the home called for furnishings that would harmonize with the natural setting while delivering everyday comfort and practicality.

Tabu Design furnished the entire home with mostly built-in furniture, covering the kitchen, bedroom wardrobes and vanities, as well as cabinetry for the living and TV areas. Additional storage and functional fittings were also integrated throughout the space. Each piece was designed to feel grounded and unobtrusive, with subtle detailing and a natural palette that complemented both the architecture and the surrounding landscape.

The project began with detailed site measurements taken by Tabu’s team to ensure absolute accuracy during production. From there, we handled the full scope of work in-house—developing design solutions that aligned with the spatial needs and architectural language of the villa. With minimal design direction from the client, Tabu proposed tailored layouts, configurations, and finishing options that balanced simplicity and function. Material selections were made in dialogue with the client, with an emphasis on natural textures and tones that would sit comfortably within the surrounding landscape of Sayan. All furniture was produced locally in our workshop, allowing for close supervision at every stage. Regular quality control checks were conducted by Tabu’s management to ensure that each piece met the standards required before installation took place on-site.
