The Santai
Tucked away in the peaceful neighborhood of Umalas, The Santai offers a private retreat with just 11 pool villas and a signature restaurant. Tabu Design collaborated on this boutique resort to create interiors that balance refined comfort with understated elegance. Our team provided both fixed and loose furniture for the villas and restaurant, translating architectural concepts into functional and welcoming spaces for guests.
Project Details
Umalas sits between Seminyak and Canggu, offering a quiet atmosphere while remaining close to Bali’s livelier districts. Surrounded by rice fields and a local village setting, The Santai combines seclusion with easy access to dining, beaches, and cultural experiences.
Fixed furniture: wardrobes, vanities, bedframes, and built-in elements for the villas.
Loose furniture: sofas, dining tables, chairs, and complementary pieces across the rooms and restaurant.
Restaurant furnishings: dining sets and custom seating designed to align with the resort’s tranquil aesthetic.
Every element was carefully planned and executed through Tabu’s integrated approach, beginning with detailed 3D drawings to align the design intent. Once finalized, the pieces were produced in our Solo-based factory with meticulous construction before being transported to Bali, where our team completed the installation on site.
