In Mid 2024, we completed the installation of custom furniture for a significant project in the Maldives. This project involved the careful delivery and placement of both fixed and loose furniture, designed to align with the project's aesthetic and function.
With attention to materials suited to the island's climate, the combination of durability and design was our focus.

Project Details
Barceló Nasandhura is located in Malé, the capital of Maldives. It is a 15-floor 5-star urban hotel which has become a reference in the country.
Fixed Furniture for common areas, comprising a total of 95 elements including wardrobes, counters, ornamental screens, common tables, shelving units, planters, sofas and vanities.
Wall Cladding comprising more than 1,600sqm of custom shapes, rope, striped and plain wood panels including shaft doors integrated into the panel.
Tabu Design deployed a dedicated team of 12—including a project manager and skilled specialists—for a 10-week on-site installation. Prior to production, all field measurements were conducted by our team to ensure precision and accuracy across every element. Throughout the installation phase, regular quality control visits were carried out by Tabu Design’s management to maintain the highest standards and ensure seamless execution.
In addition to the physical installation, Tabu Design produced all necessary technical drawings for production, including timely revisions as required for construction coordination, reporting, and on-site control. All drawings and documentation were developed based on the initial data and plans provided by the client.
Throughout the installation phase, regular quality control visits by Tabu Design’s management ensured smooth progress and consistent adherence to our standards.
